2nd / 3rd Line Support Engineer (WINDOWS SERVERS) – North London –NEW!!
Focus IT have the pleasure of working with this WELL established IT Solutions Company. My client offers Managed services solutions to SME/ Medium sector right up to blue chip clients.
Due to company expansion and new business growth we are now looking for another IT Support Engineer to compliment the existing dynamic team. The role will be permanently based at my client’s customer site where you will proactively ensure that they receive exceptional Customer service during all contact with the Support Desk, thus ensuring continual exceptional operational service. Predominantly providing 2nd & 3rd Line Support duties. All support must be performed with minimal business impact on the customer and within agrees service levels.
You will provide continual and regular updates throughout the management of their incidents. The role will require you to work on various Microsoft platforms and windows Servers. Other responsibilities will involve performing on-site client visits to my clients other customer site based in Cambridge around once a month to resolve a technical incident along with standard duties such as PC Break/Fix and basic diagnostics of network protocols. Any exposure to Lotus notes will be highly beneficial.
The ideal candidate will come from an outsourced or IT service background, with impeccable customer service skills. You will be proficient in Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Exchange, Terminal Server, Microsoft XP, Microsoft Vista and Microsoft Office 2003/ 2007 along Active Directory.
• You will ideally have 3 years experience in a 2nd/3rd Line Support or Server Support
• Knowledge of SQL Server, Server 2003 and 2008, Exchange 2003 and 2007 and Terminal Services (RDP) as well as PC / client Operating Systems is all an advantage.
• You will have a strong knowledge of Microsoft environments, virtualisation and have proficient problem solving skills.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Support Engineer with good knowledge of Windows servers and exposure to Lotus notes. Please note this is a permanent opportunity where you will be based at my client’s customer site in regent’s park, north London with occasional travel to Cambridge and possibly Basingstoke.
This role is a 2nd/ 3rd Line Technical Support Engineer and can also be known as a Support Analyst, Helpdesk Analyst, 2nd Line Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Technical Engineer, IT Support Engineer and Helpdesk Engineer.
The role is based in Regents Park, North London and is commutable from all areas of London,
