Senior Support Technician / 2nd / 3rd Line Support Engineer – £40k-£45k + Bens

The Company:
Focus IT have the pleasure of working with this well established solutions company that provide specialist managed services to SME/ Medium sector right up to blue chip clients.

The Role:
Due to pure company expansion and new business growth my client are now looking for an IT Support Engineer to compliment the existing dynamic team. The role will be based at my client’s offices and you will also be required to attend customer sites. You will proactively ensure that all customers receive exceptional customer service during all contact. You will own and manage 2nd & 3rd line support issues through to successful completion. You will provide assistance to all internal sales staff with pre sales and post sales activities, assist internal and external personnel with the use of intel, virtualisation technology and data availability solutions. As a support specialist you will assist with disaster recovery testing and maintain currency with Microsoft enhancements and emerging technologies. You will provide out of hours support on a rota basis.

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have the following – VCP5 Certification, MCSE Certified and MCP trained or MCSA equivalent, VMWare ESX administration & support or vSphere, Windows Server 2003 / 2008 / 2012, Knowledge of SQL server, Knowledge of Exchange 2003 /2007 / 2010, Knowledge of Active Directory, Extensive knowledge of other Microsoft applications, Knowledge of Networking, Knowledge of Storage Technologies, Knowledge of Server Builds, Transformation and automation of repetitive tasks, Problem ownership and Good communications skills, team Player, Knowledge of Networking, Storage Technologies, Server Builds, and able to share knowledge within team.

This role is a 2nd/ 3rd Line Technical Support Engineer and can also be known as a Support Analyst, Helpdesk Analyst, 2nd Line Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Technical Engineer, IT Support Engineer and Helpdesk Engineer.

The Location:

This role is based in Bedfordshire and is commutable from Luton, Bedford, Sandy, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Northampton, Northamptonshire, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, Stevenage, Flitwick, Rushden, Hertfordshire, Greater London, North London, North West London.
