Technical Data Analyst / Analytics Assistant Manager – Birmingham – NEW

The company:
Focus IT has the pleasure with assisting this very well established business management consultancy.  My client offer international, high profile global services in four main areas: Assurance, Tax, Transactions and Advisory.

The Role:
The key part of this role is to work as part of the UK Analytics team, supporting the Assurance business.  This role of Assistant Manager, based in our Birmingham office, will be responsible for designing and delivering a range of data analytics comprising direct exposure to internal and external clients alike.  You will be delivering support to one of the fastest growing and best performing sub-service lines in the business today, FAAS.

Core responsibilities:
Scope the nature of the project
Work with clients to extract data
Develop your systems skills
Analyse complex data including bespoke analysis
Present findings
Liaise with internal teams to discuss patterns to better understand client behaviour
Identify opportunities for further work and areas of interest/ added value to clients
Manage and coordinate a large client portfolio

You will be working closely with the audit team and therefore any experience with audit processes would be beneficial. 

Key Skills required:
Solid understanding of Data Analysis 
Experience of Audit financial accounting processes
Exposure to Financial Management  
working knowledge of MS Excel essential
MS Access/MS SQL Server/Visual Basic highly desirable
Report writing and presentation skills
Exposure to Accounting Systems

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have around 2-3 years as a minimum experience with Data / Business Analytics and sound technical knowledge of MS Access or SQL.  The role will be working apart of the UK team as well as individual projects, therefore a good communicator is essential to this role.
