Once again Focus IT has the pleasure with working alongside this well-established IT Solutions Provider.  My client is industry recognised for their service levels. 

The Role

Due to industry growth and winning new business my client now requires a 1st line Service Desk Engineer.  The role will require you to provide 1st line support to my client’s customer base – to maintain and support from around 50 users in a Microsoft Windows desktop environment. 

Ensuring the smooth running of clients systems and ensuring they get maximum benefits from them. Activities may include:
Provide excellent customer service to external clients, providing first line reactive support
Act as a first responder triaging calls and escalating according to process
Proactive assistance on tasks relating to projects as delegated by colleagues
Troubleshoot problems by telephone, remote access and on-site visits
Help improve company systems, procedures and knowledge
Participate and contribute to ad hoc and planned training
System builds, configuration and installation (remote or on-site)
Diligent documentation and time-recording
Solution and technical research and development for internal and client use
Continuing studying and certification, possibly as part of probation

My client are a MSP and you will have a full backing of them with regards to a support network and also scope to move on and grow within the business.

The Candidate

You will be an experienced Helpdesk 1st Line Support Engineer with 2 or more year’s commercial experience, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems. You are required to and have some commercial knowledge of Windows Servers and Exchange Servers.   Experience of Symantec Backup Exec & Symantec Anti-Virus or Citrix, Draytek, Blackberry would be an advantage.  An MCP/MCSE/MCITP qualification would be highly desirable and beneficial towards your application but not essential.
