2nd/ 3rd Line support Engineer (Server 2003/ 2008) – £25k – £35k – Milton Keynes
Focus has the pleasure of working with one of the UK’s largest and fastest growing Medical Recruitment Companies. Due to company demand and major growth the client is seeking a 2nd/ 3rd Line Support Engineer to compliment their existing IT team.
Your main responsibilities will be to provide technical support to end users, take ownership of problems through 2nd/3rd line and server administration. This position is responsible for a wide variety of tasks, including, but not limited to; the resolution of any hardware/software issues, hardware configuration/installation, network/infrastructure administration, maintenance and improvements to the existing domain infrastructure and cabling/desk moves.
To be considered for this position, candidates need to have commercial experience in a support role, with some of the following technical skills.
To qualify for this position you will have at least 2 years commercial Support experience and knowledge of Windows Server 2003/ 2008. Alongside this you will have exposure to Exchange 2007, Active Directory and Microsoft Office/ Windows XP. Any experience of SQL will benefit your application.
The role is a 2nd/ 3rd Line Support Engineer and can also be known as a IT Support Analyst, Systems Administrator, IT Administrator, Network Administrator, Network Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, Server Analyst, Helpdesk Analyst, Desktop Support Engineer and Helpdesk Engineer.
The role is based in Milton Keynes and is also commutable from Buckinghamshire, Northampton, and Bedfordshire.
