Service Desk Engineer – £20k – £30k – North London – NEW!!
Focus IT have the pleasure of working with this established IT Support Consultancy.
An opportunity has arisen to work in a young and dynamic IT Support Services Company based in North London. They are seeking a Service desk Engineer to compliment their existing support team.
The successful candidate will have experience supporting end users in small and medium sized businesses. A strong technical support is required as this is a hands on role with the requirement to provide both telephone and potentially client site support. You will work in a lively environment alongside the business owners and be involved in all aspects of support from desktop to server. As their clients have less than 75 members of staff there is contact with clients at all levels, from end user to senior partners. Therefore you will need to be confident dealing with senior members of our clients’ staff and be able to provide clear help to all level of end users.
To qualify for this role you will have at least 1-2 years 1st and 2nd line support experience. Any exposure to 3rd line will benefit your application. You will have good knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, Desktop and Windows Server 2003/ 2008 including Small Business server (SBS). You will be proficient in Active Directory and Exchange. The target for frontline fixes is high and so you will have good all round technical support and problem solving skills (Windows XP, Windows 7, MS Office, Desktop Applications, Remote Connectivity, Desktops, Laptops, Printers).
This is a Service Desk Engineer role and is also known as a 2nd Line Support Analyst, 3rd Line Support Engineer, Helpdesk Analyst, Helpdesk Engineer, 1st Line Support, Support Engineer and Service desk Analyst.
This role is based in North London and is also commutable from Middlesex, London, Essex, Berkshire, Slough, Enfield, Watford and Hertfordshire.
