1st Line Support Engineer – Scunthorpe – NEW!!!
Focus IT have the pleasure of working with this WELL established IT Solutions Company. Due to demand they are seeking a 1nd Line Support Engineer to complement their existing support team.
Due to industry growth, we now have a requirement for self-driven and highly motivated person to come in and build on their expertise in the Support sector and complement the existing team
Follow Operations guide and SLA levels for all processes and procedures
To provide a clear and accurate assessment of a fault by establishing a root cause. Then rectify fault or procure an adequate solution though specification of parts or by referral to the appropriate team/third party provider.
Escalate call to escalation’s team if there call goes over a reasonable amount of time and that this is followed at all times.
Ensure the call are assessed for severity and dealt with accordingly
Keep customer up-to date on all your on-going calls, ensure every call on the system is updated on a regular basis.
Keep yourself up to date with all the latest technologies.
Work as part of the IT Support team and support your team members.
Ensure all call are logged correctly and changed where required.
Ensure that all on site visits are booked in with the customer prior to the end of the current working day and engineers have parts, job sheets and IT service appointment has been sent to customer
Ensure at all times you keep up-to-date with your Site champion sites Anything of critical importance to be escalated to the supervisor
Carry out customer Webinars when required
Assist with and carrying out IT projects to a high standard where required.
Attend customer’s sites when required
The ideal candidate for this position will have at 1years + experience within the support sector.

Key skills are as follows:
At least 1 years’ experience in carrying out IT Implementations
Very strong IT Skills
Excellent Product knowledge of the following: –
Windows 2008/2012 Server
Exchange 2010/2013 Server
Cloud Solutions (Office 365/Azure)
Hyper V/ VM ware
Advanced Switch & Router configuration
Microsoft or equivalent qualifications
This role is a 1st Line Technical Support Engineer and can also be known as a Support Analyst, Helpdesk Analyst, 1st Line Engineer, Technical Engineer, IT Support Engineer and Helpdesk Engineer.
Any qualifications such as MCSE, MCSA, MCITP or CCNA would be highly beneficial towards your application
The role is based in Scunthorpe and is commutable from Lincoln, Grimsby, Sheffield, Doncaster, Gainsborough, Hull, Beverly, Market Weighton, Pocklington, Brigg and all surrounding areas of Scunthorpe
