Sales Support Engineer / Technical Support – Reading – NEW
Focus IT has the pleasure in working along side this leading Managed Services provider of network services.
Due to continued growth they require a Sales Support Engineer to join their dynamic team. The role will require a blend of technical support and basic sales duties. You will provide Pre and Post sales technical support by telephone and email. You will also assist in proactively selling the products and services to existing customers and warm prospects by telephone.
Responsibilities for the Technical Support and Sales activities are:
Anticipate and resolve technical queries, Liaise between customer and product supplier, generate pre sales leads, maintain records of pre sales and Post sales on in-house system, provide technical support to sales team, assist with technical training for sales team and occasionally assist sales and account managers on clients visits.
Sell client products and Services via telephone, follow up quotes and quotations and up-sell where possible, identify opportunities in existing accounts and build relationships.
You will have an excellent understanding of networking – LAN and WAN and connectivity products. The ability to diagnose technical problems and provide solutions. You must have excellent communication skills with a clear telephone manor and able to communicate at all levels. You will be a team player but also be able to work alone and use own initiative.
